Q What is the enrollment requirement in order to participate in interscholastic sports at Lake Center Christian School?
A Students must be enrolled full-time and be in grades 7-12. Additionally, all OHSAA eligibility guidelines must be met.
Q Is there a fee to participate in interscholastic sports?
A Yes. An athletic fee is assessed for interscholastic sports and will be added to the student’s tuition bill.
Q If I had a physical examination prior to attending school, will I have to have another exam in order to participate?
A Another exam will not be necessary, as long as the exam was conducted by a licensed medical physician within the previous 12 months of practice or play, was documented on an official OHSAA form and can be presented to the coach or Athletic Director.
Q Are there academic standards that must be met in order to participate?
A Yes. Lake Center Christian School and OHSAA have specific academic requirements that must be met in order to participate at our school or any other OHSAA member schools. You can view a detailed listing of these requirements on our web site or contact the Athletic Office for more information.
Q Can a student participate in two sports during the same season?
A Yes, if the following conditions are met. The student must designate which sport will be primary (individual vs. team sport - team sport is preferred). If a conflict arises, the primary sport will rule. Both coaches must be in agreement with the established conditions. In situations where one of the two sports is an “out of season” activity, the above stated conditions will not apply. Students participating in two sports can earn high school Physical Education credit.
