The Volunteer Program

At Lake Center Christian School, serving is more than volunteering—it’s a way to build relationships, live out our faith, and support Christian education.Through our Volunteer Program, parents and community members can help staff, encourage students, and show Christ’s love. Whether you’re new or have been here for years, there’s a way for you to use your time and talents to make a difference.Our volunteers inspire hearts, meet needs, and strengthen our school community. Volunteer Opportunities
There are lots of ways to help at our school:

  • Field Trips – Supervise and encourage students.

  • Classroom Support – Assist with projects and events (K–6).

  • Fine Arts – Help with art, music, or performances.

  • Events – Volunteer at big school events like the Auction or Family Round Up.

  • Student Breakfasts – Help host morning gatherings.

  • Teacher Support – Provide snacks or small gifts for teachers.

  • Parent Ambassadors – Welcome and guide new families.

  • At-Home Help – Prepare materials or organize from home.

  • Service Projects – Assist with school-wide service activities.

Agree To Volunteer Background SCREENING

There is no longer a fee to become or renew your status as a volunteer at Lake Center Christian School!

To ensure a safe and healthy environment for all students, a background screening is required for anyone serving at the school. After your application is reviewed and approved, you will receive an email invitation to complete the screening process.

Background checks are valid for three years. Once expired, you will be asked to renew before continuing to serve.

Lake Center partners with Praesidium to conduct these screenings. While the screening itself previously carried a $20 fee, this cost is now fully covered by the school. Please allow up to two weeks for processing and approval.

Serve LCCS

Once your background check is approved, you’ll be cleared to begin volunteering at Lake Center! Keep an eye on weekly ParentSquare updates created specifically for our volunteers—these will highlight current opportunities and ways you can get involved.

Parent Ambassador Program

Lake Center Christian School has a Parent Ambassador Program focused on welcoming and encouraging new families, thus strengthening community within our school and building up the Body of Christ.
A new school family, upon enrollment, is assigned a Parent Ambassador who has children in attendance at LCCS and is involved in our volunteer program. The Parent Ambassador program places families with one another who have children close in age or in the same grade level, or who may have something else in common, which could include where they reside or the church they attend.
Our Parent Ambassadors are genuinely excited to have you at Lake Center Christian School and are praying your family has positive experiences at our school, too. They consider it a blessing to be your Parent Ambassador and want to help you have a smooth transition into our LCCS community.
